My dad was here. His nurses, his CNAs…they were all so kind and full of love towards him. I never felt uncomfortable with him being at the Oaks. I’m THANKFUL for the staff that took care of him.
Nursing, care, admin, PT and OT personnel were all compassionate, friendly and caring. Food left a bit to be desired, but same could probably be said for any institutional (hospital, school etc) kitchen serving a whole lot of people
My sister is there currently for rehabilitation. The staff is very inconsiderate, showing no compassion or patience. She is unable to do anything for herself including getting out of bed, changing clothes, feeding herself & using the restroom. I will give the Physical Therapist team 5+ stars for all of their help in the time they spend with her 5 days a week tho!
I was initially hesitate to allow this facility to accommodate my husband for rehab due to the negative reviews. I decided to give it chance because of it close proximity. The first to days it seemed fine but by day 3 realized how lazy the staff was. My husband would be sitting in feces if I was not regularly visiting. On his departure he was given some other patients meds to take home. The facility has a great physical therapist but overall I would not recommend it due negligence and incompetence.
The front desk lady is great. I wish I could say the same about the rest of the staff. My grandfather’s social worker was supposed to complete an assessment so that we could have him transferred to a facility that his insurance would cover, almost two weeks ago, instead she has been dodging and refusing to return my calls, while they have served my grandpa uninsured self pay bills with his meals every day. The unprofessionalism, lack of empathy, caring, understanding, the inattentiveness and unresponsiveness of this business is disturbing and shocking to see first hand. Nurses are incredibly inattentive, my grandfather had a heart attack this week and it took around an hour for a nurse to attend to him and call him and ambulance. Your loved ones are better off anywhere else, take it from someone who has dealt with this place for 3 months. It’s shameful that some of these people work in healthcare.
