Very clean and up to date facility. Staff seem to be very nice and helpful.
DO NOT WORK HERE OR LET YOUR LOVED ONES RESIDE HERE!!! Staff is RACIST and a bunch of cliques and bullies. You will be harassed daily by the employees. Lots of favoritism. you will be threatened by staff and hr. Extremely unprofessional . This place has been horrible for MANY YEARS and is not better with the new owners.
April 1, 2024 If you are considering this facility please read this review and all the others. Do your research. Well-being vs. financial responsibility. I would not recommend this facility for anyone. They are extremely understaffed and working 16 hour shifts with 8 off in-between their next 16 hour shift. I had a nurse tell me that on 3/30/24 as she sat a minute in a family members room. They do not have enough staff per resident. In our families case, call buttons are answered a minimum of 20+ minutes after pressing the button. "Call don't fall" signs up in the room, but when you have to use the bathroom they don't want to pee or poop the bed. Who would?!? We've had FOUR falls and 2 hospital visits in the last 30 days, this last one ended with a broken hip that requires surgery. The family was NOT notified they fell and were transferred to the hospital! Family went to visit and nobody was in their room. They said "oh, what are you doing up here, they're in the hospital" We've asked for bed rails or alarms but those are considered 'restraints' and not allowed. We put a table next to the bed so they have to call for help and we were told that was not allowed. Not joking, a nurse told my sister "It's their right to fall if they want to". The facility itself does not have a pleasant odor. Residents are bathed with soap and water only once a week. Sheets are only changed if they are soiled or requested. A CNA told me this after I requested new sheets as it was over a week since the last ones were changed. My family member who resides there asked me to ask for new bedding. They are not very mobile so they felt dirty laying on the same bedding for so long. Most staff there are wonderful. They are just overworked and understaffed. It's heartbreaking. We've been working on moving to a new facility, but we are not the POA for this family member so it's been a struggle. The money saved is now being spent on hospital stays and now a surgery. I really don't write reviews, but I do read them when looking into something. I'm hoping this review will save families from the emotional stress we've endured and physical and emotional stress on your loved ones. Again most of the staff are truly wonderful, it's just too many residents per nurse/CNA/etc.
I found the staff to be very caring and took the best care of my dad before he passed away. They were very attentive to our needs. They may be understaffed, but I found this to be true at other facilities as well including the hospitals. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for hospice care for a loved one.
Beware of this facility. My father was not cared for well. He was a diabetic who took daily medication for his condition yet they didn't check his blood sugar for 3 weeks after arriving there. Then when they did he told them he needed insulin and they didn't give it because they didn't have a doctor's order to give it. It took the family advocating for him to get him his medication needed. On one family visit he was left to sit soiled for over 2 hours even though I asked multiple times for them to come clean him up. He told me that was not unusual. I had to cut his nails for him on another visit. He was immobile and requested nail clippers which they brought but then didn't cut his nails. He was trying to get transferred to another facility where he had coverage. The social worker did not follow up with information requested from other facilities causing a loss of transfer 3x. Lastly, they are overbilling me for his stay. Won't return phone calls from social workers, office manager, or facility director. This place is a joke. The nursing is most likely good, but they seem understaffed.
