Completely thrilled and amazed at how professionally and lovingly this facility has welcomed my difficult to live with Dad. He is thriving there and removing him from the death trap of his house and bad habits not taking effective care of himself and living as a loner has been completely reversed by his voluntary decision to move to Brookdale University - Birmingham. He loves the food. He loves the drumming circles, he has made friends, his health has dramatically improved by eating healthy food and having regular care and attention from the staff.
My mother is in the skilled nursing at Brookdale. I have received so much help, guidance and assistance from the entire staff from social work, nursing, CNAs and remedy medicine. They have been willing to help work through every situation that has arisen with her care, and every staff member treats her as if she is their own family member.
My post keeps getting deleted to cover up all the negativity I endure when my mom was there. Be aware do not take your love one there unless you have the time to spend 24 hrs. There doing their job. Very inadequate.
Overall Amazing. Staff impressively pleasant & compassionate. Beautifully redecorated!!
Two many employees park's in Handicapped parking places without Handicapped tags That should be for patrons not for the employees
