Brookdale South Park

I recently toured the community with Whitney Varnadore and was very impressed with the entire experience. Staff introduced themselves, it smelled nice, and the residents were well taken care of and enjoying an activity. Whitney is a trusted resource for all things seniors and gives her all to helping families through the transition. If you are looking for a memory care of a loved one, you won’t regret reaching out.

This facility is absolutely beautiful. The staff is very professional and Whitney is the best Community Client Relations Director, she and the other staff members really made me feel welcome and safe with leaving my dad in their hands. My dad has Dementia and I had a negative experience at a prior, senior care facility, and so I was very hesitant to try my dad at another facility (until I came to Brookdale Memory Care). During the tour, I met each staff member and I can tell that they truly love what they do, and that their work is personal to them and that the residents love the staff, as well. Thank you Brookdale, for easing my mind and for helping me find my father a new home.

Most staff members seem to truly care for the residents. My father is happy and like his caregivers. And, the building is getting a much needed update, including furniture and equipment! This will be a great improvement for residents and staff.

If you’re looking for a place that is willing to meet your love one where they are at that moment in their lives, Brookdale Southpark is the place. They are experienced in all types of behaviors and take the time to ask probing questions to better understand your love one. They keep the family informed and most important they listen. My main contacts were Latoya, the Registered Care Director and Ebony, my aunt’s favorite care provider, but the whole team provided a comfortable and safe environment. Belinda

UPDATE: 2024 After moving my mother out of Brookdale, the difference is night & day. Her new home is SUCH AN IMPROVEMENT over Brookdale! And it costs less too! I have visited many Memory Care units by this time & while Brookdale looked good to us early on, we see now how much better things can be. Keep looking. 2023: 3 months into my mothers residency at Brookdale South Park, I’m dissatisfied with the level of service & communication we’ve received. After speaking with the new ED as well as many other staff members about our concerns, I hope that improvements will be made.
