My mother had wonderful care. There were times a nurse called to raise a concern about something we didn't notice, the activity staff made sure there were always interesting programs. At one point there were not 4 bridge players in the building so the director arranged for an aide to learn bridge. The aide would sit in if a 4th was needed and if not, would be present to assist others . This was very kind and thoughtful especially as folks older and couldn't always maneuver cards or remember. Bridge is just one example of helping residents stay engaged. I could easily list 10 more ways the staff went beyond anything I expected. My mom had been at a different place before and the difference was night and day. I cannot recommend Harmony Hall highly enough.
Our experience with Lorien Harmony Hall was very cold and corporate. The executive team lacked empathy and compassion for our father who was in critical need of assisted living support. My only advice to anyone is if you are looking for a compassionate team that will work to serve your family's needs, look somewhere else. In August 2025, we expressed interest in Lorien Harmony Hall for our father, who really liked the place when we toured. In October, Harmony Hall's Executive Director, Victoria Rosier, decided to deny my father's admission based on an arbitrary clinical assessment that he needed sub-acute rehab first. They did not acknowledge current medical records, or clinical staff attempts to work with Harmony Hall for direct admission. The appropriate action would have been a peer-to-peer clinical discussion to clarify any questions. However, as the clinical case worker put it "they just don't want to take him". Our family invested $4500 in the community fee, had countless emails with Lorien over the course of two months only to be denied by email for an acute incident. When I told the Executive Director, Victoria Rosier, how disappointing this was, she said she was sorry we felt this way and our $4500 deposit was waiting at the concierge’s desk. The entire experience was devastating and left us and our loved one without planned support. While I believe the sales director, Chelsea, tried really hard to advocate for our family, I do not believe she has the support of her leadership team or the freedom to make executive decisions. She often had to get confirmation from her Executive Director, Victoria Rosier, to finalize any agreements. My experience with Victoria was not pleasant, she was often rigid and lacked the compassion expected of a healthcare executive. She also did not show the ability to be strategic to achieve a common goal, which was helping our father find as safe and welcoming home. My father is now living in an assisted living that warmly accepted him and did the clinical assessments in less than two weeks. I personally shared our experience with neighboring facilities and learned it should never take two months to make an admissions decision.
Chelsea Mccartin helped me with getting my husband into Harmony Hall. Any issue we had during the process she was able to solve in a timely manner and with great respect and a smile. She worked very hard on coming up with the best room for my husband's particular needs. She would be a rtrue asset to any business!
My experience with Lorien at Harmony Hall was a relatively brief 5 weeks in March-April 2025. My father was in the memory care unit during this time. The facility itself is nice, and they continue to make renovations and improvements to their memory care floor. There are a lot of resources and medical infrastructure nearby, which minimizes the need to go offsite for medical care. While the physical facility is important, you can see and judge that with your own eyes before making any decisions. I would suggest that the more important consideration, and harder to evaluate, is the quality of the people working there, and the care that they will provide. In this regard, Lorien at Harmony Hall excelled. Moving a loved one into memory care is usually a difficult time for all involved. It is important to have caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable professionals on staff. The people that we dealt with at Harmony Hall were excellent. A few stood out in particular. Chelsea introduced us to the facility and worked with us through all of the admission logistics. She was wonderful. Nayeli, the Director of Health and Wellness, is also exceptional. Nayeli exhibits a blend of “no nonsense” competence and heart-felt empathy that is both reassuring and comforting. Despite what I know were tremendous and constant demands on her time and attention, she always seemed to have time for us. She was spectacular. I also want to mention and thank Natalya, who we saw a lot, as she was in charge of the day shift nurses that cared for my father. My family encountered many other dedicated and caring people at Harmony Hall during our short time there who deserve our thanks and appreciation. If you are looking at assisted living or memory care facilities, Lorien at Harmony Hall is definitely worth considering.
I love Harmony Hall! I first visited there last year as a Santa Portrayal Artist seeking opportunities to share my gifts. I met Danny the activities director and he and I shared the same vision for enhancing the residents experience. I came back for a Christmas in July Celebration, and then again for Christmas events. I am simply blown away by the attention to detail and events that are just over the top. I was also in this industry prior to retirement and becoming Santa Claus so I know quality and innovation when I see it! Victoria Rosier the Executive Director is so down to earth and approachable but is absolutely determined to set new standards and be the absolute best. She has created in a very short time an incredible sense of teamwork and positive “can do” attitude. She has also taken the dining program to new heights by adding some top Culinary talents. The cuisine I have sampled here is as good or better than what you will find in some of the greatest restaurants. In my interactions with the residents they are all very happy to be here. Harmony Hall is a 5 star community!!
