We were very fortunate to find Bill and the Marine Hills Adult Family Home at a very difficult time in my family’s life where we had to make a quick decision on where mom should go next. Bill is very professional and his resident’s health and safety come first. He is open and honest with our family and doesn’t sugar coat anything. He keeps us informed frequently during the week on our mother’s condition and sends us pictures and lets us know how our mom is doing that day. Bill’s home is nicely set up with a large picturesque window that looks out at beautiful trees and shrubs for the resident’s enjoyment with the ever-changing seasons. His home cooked meals make my mom feel right at home and his dinnertime Frank Sinatra sing a longs are an added entertainment bonus for his residents. He is entertaining and fun and his love for his job is truly evident. His care givers are kind and considerate and just as wonderful as Bill. This is not your normal AFH. Not anyone can do this job and Bill and his caregivers are exceptional at what they do. We feel very blessed our mother is being taken care of by Bill and his staff at Marine Hills Adult Family Home.

I was distraught with the thought of sending my mother to an adult family home, and then I met Bill. When we first brought my mother to the home Bill took her hand in both of his and very sweetly explained to her that this is her new home and he would be taking good care of her. He could not have been kinder. Bill goes above and beyond caring for “his people”. He genuinely cares about each and every one. Our family gets weekly emails briefly updating us on our mom. Sometimes he tells us a funny thing she has said or a concern he may have. He shares his love of fishing with the residents and takes pride in his cooking. At dinnertime he plays Frank Sinatra. We could not be more pleased with Bill’s amazing amount of love and care. He is our angel during an extremely difficult time.

Bill McLaughlin and the Marine Hills Adult Family Home provide very professional care in a beautiful environment - the house is surrounded by trees and flowers which add to the enjoyment of residents. My father was able to enjoy living with Bill and saying that - the key word is "enjoy". It is a home environment that caters to the guests while ensuring they are safe and well taken care of.

This Adult Family Home is personally over seen and run by Mr. William McLaughlin, "Bill". It is and never has been just a business, rather part of his heart, along with integrity, and personalized compassionate care. Great private pay home, for hospice, pallative care, surgical rehab or a permanent home for yourself a loved one and their pet.(Case by case basis of course.) He personally cooks for his residents, taking into consideration any dietary restrictions and or preferences. Plans his life around his passion, communicates well with family members and nursing staff to best meet the physical, and mental needs of his residents. He is creative in the outings he takes his residents on, if they are able. And includes them in family gatherings and holidays. The home is Clean, cozy and beautiful, with large windows and a green forest like setting. A beautiful large rose garden, that he planted and tends to personally, with award winning Rose's. Also he only hires the best qualified medical staff to assist in the care for his AFH. Thankyou for your time in reading and I wish you the best in finding the right home.

Visited the adult family home,very nice and open with a wilderness feel in a nice neighbor hood. A paradise to be found.
