Six Star Elder Care

I want to thank Six Star Elder Care for taking very good care of Joan Dawson. She was only there for 2 months before she thought she was well enough to go home to her condo. In the very short time she was there, they nurses her through 3 UTI’s which she is prone to, helped her gain her strength through PT exercises, and took care of her frequent incontinence, both urine and bowel which included help changing pull-ups, washing bedding and showers plus cleaning up the room if necessary. I enjoyed that when you entered the home, it always smelled good, light, and clean. The on site nurse and support staff was always friendly and caring. Meals were nutritious and well balanced. My father has been here for over a year and he is loved and well cared for. The house manager and also her mom who oversees the business are both very responsive. They are great working with the elderly and people who have dementia. My dad is contented and feels at home. I know I am welcome any time to visit him. The house is spotless and my dad seems to like the food when I come to have dinner with him. Caregivers are compassionate and responsive and I know that Inna the house manager is always there if there should be an issue. Edited to add: my father recently passed away, and he could not have received more loving, competent care as he declined. Staff also made sure that I was okay in the difficult days before he died.

This adult family home is HORRIBLE! They talk a good talk while taking tours and as soon as I was signing the paperwork, their tone immediately changed. I had a bad feeling, but moved forward because I had just signed all the paperwork and put down a deposit check and my grandma needed a new home. Two days in to my grandma living there, I decided they were not a good fit and moved her as soon as I could find another home for her. On day two of her stay we found her in a soiled diaper at the lunch table. We asked them to change her before feeding her and were told to wait because they didn't have enough staff on hand. On the same day, they were feeding them chicken with grissely pieces and my grandma could have choked. When we confronted the owners, the caregivers lied to the owners and swore these things were untrue. Many other small things took place in the first week which demonstrated their lack of care and honesty. This place is HORRIBLE! DO NOT place your loved one here. Our experience happened in May 2022 and I haven't had time to write the review, so here it is! My grandma was in a loving home prior to six star and we never had one problem over the 3 years that she was there. We had to move her because her adult family home owners were retiring. After two days at six star I had to do everything in my power to remove her as quickly as possible. In total it took me two weeks to find a new home for her. Please do not place your loved one in their care. Inna, the owner, is sweet, however her children have a lot of maturing to do as they are helping her run the business. And their caregivers have bad attitudes!

We had an Amazing Experience here! My mama was well cared for in a very homey, Luving environment. The surroundings are beautiful, the food is nutritious & yummy and the caregivers were very warm & attentive. Forever grateful for the time, support, luv and attention given to our Mama's care. She thrived here 💜

Six Star senior living took extremely good care of my step dad for two years. They were very communicative and accommodating. I have not one single complaint. Recommend them highly.
