Gaines Park is HOME! Watching our parents age I believe is the most difficult season yet. After caring for my mom personally for 10 years, I NEVER dreamed she would adapt or settle well anywhere. Along with her physical aging challenges she has a language barrier as well. NOTHING frightened Gaines Park, they stepped in and made her feel welcomed and LOVED. They are kind and conscientious of her specific needs, (bp checks, chopped food requirements and even lay her clothes out and make sure her tv is on her favorite channels) Way above and beyond. We have only been with Gaines Park for 3 months and my mom is doing exercises everyday, going on field trips, "playing bingo", with the tender assistance of staff or volunteers of course, but she is HAPPY! At 88 it's the simple pleasures that make her smile, and as her daughter and the person that loves her most in this world, I say THANK YOU!! Keep up the GREAT work! There is a right place somewhere for everyone, Thank you God for bringing us to Gaines Park's front door, my mom is HOME!

Gaines Park Senior Living is a blessing! We needed to find a different facility for my mom quickly as I did not want her to stay at the facility she was at. From the moment I walked in to Gaines Park, I knew it was going to be the right place for my mom. My expectations were high and I wanted a place that felt like home, where I knew she would be watched over and be safe. I wanted her caregivers to not only keep her clean and healthy, but also to know her as a person and care for her specific needs, even when dementia is hard. Gaines Park provided all of that and so much more. My family became a part of the Gaines Park family. The caregivers have love and passion for what they do and the director met my needs and listened to me when I needed her. Although my mom has passed, I still miss my Gaines Park family and I cannot thank them enough for all they did for my mom and my family. They will always hold a special place in my heart.

Our experience at Gaines Park Senior living has been absolutely wonderful. My husband has Parkinson’s disease and dementia. We placed him in memory care and he has received the very best of care. The people are friendly, loving, And extremely adapt in their positions.The food is wonderful! (I have tasted its deliciousness). It seems to me that everyone there has his best interest at heart. This gives me great relief as there is no possible way I could take care of him myself at home. They have therapy and activities for the seniors every day. This makes the residence happy and engaged. there are also several gardens scattered about which the residents really enjoy. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who cares about their spouse or loved one Having peace and love in their life towards it end.. I would like to share our experience at Gaines Park. It is the best of both worlds. My mother came to Gaines Park in May, 2024. She had been living with my family and had multiple falls. The last fall left her unaware of who she was. Three months in Memory Care and she improved and has transitioned to Assisted Living. I owe this to the excellent care she received in the Memory Care unit. Since the transition, which I say was seamless, she has only improved. She enjoys the daily activities and planned field trips. The Executive Director and staff have many years of valuable experience. Gaines Park has created an opportunity for a new relationship for my mother and I. I became her daughter again and not her caregiver. This has allowed us to enjoy our time together. The best of both worlds.

Many caregivers have been here for over 20 years, a stark contrast to the high turnover at our previous facility, where well-meaning but inexperienced staff struggled to connect with residents. At Gaines Park, the caregivers are empathetic, naturally gifted professionals who truly understand their residents’ needs. The memory care unit’s size and high staff-to-resident ratio allow for personalized, hands-on care. Residents are gently encouraged to engage in the common area rather than staying isolated in their rooms. A unique touch is the individual recliners in the common area—my mother loves hers! It’s a small but meaningful example of how Gaines Park prioritizes comfort and connection. The courtyard, filled with vibrant flowers, a pergola, and fluttering butterflies, is a serene haven. I cherish taking my mother there for quiet conversations, surrounded by morning breezes and birdsong. Thank you, Gaines Park, for providing my mother with a nurturing, loving home.
