This is a top notch facility for residents and families. Monarch Cottages cared for my father for an extended period. The staff treated him with such kindness, professionalism, and respect. I’m deeply grateful for the care and comfort they gave him — and to our family — during that time.

The community is a smoke screen. Staff and admin pretend to care when family or owners show up. Catch them by surprise and you will see how they talk and care for the residents. Residents are not cared for as they should be for top dollar families have to pay. Staff sleep in resident rooms while on break and have no concern for personal belonging or space. LVN is even less impressive and doesn't do any care.

We were very blessed to find Monarch Assisted Living. Our family member has lived there for over five years. Our needs are continually met with a superior staff. He has had some challenging moments and the entire staff, comes to his rescue. Our family is always kept informed of any concerns. The staff is well trained and cares for all residents. We are sent monthly notices of activities and services at Monarch. It’s very exciting that Monarch now has a concierge for special and fun outings. Our family member thoroughly enjoys these special occasions. The doctor, who oversees Monarch, is from UCSD, Geriatrics, and is on call 24/7. We, as a family, are so thankful for the care at Monarch.

Those in memory care require compassion, skill, and constant attention. The staff at Monarch provides wonderful support to two of our loved ones, residing at the cottage. The individual needs of each person is a priority for the Monarch team and they consistently deliver! A focus on comfort, cleanliness, and joyful interaction is ever apparent at Monarch Cottage. You always feel great after a visit, and very well informed after a phone call. 👍

Deciding to entrust your family member to strangers is a big leap of faith, regardless of situation or cost. I visit Monarch regularly and see how our mom is treated. I've seen my mom open up and re-engage after she moved to Monarch. And I've had the pleasure to get to know the entire friendly and expert staff. Knowing our mom's whole self (physical, emotional and cognitive) is being cared for is truly heartening. We are so glad that when we had to make the decision, we chose Monarch for our mom's care.
