My husband was here for a year.  At least at the time he was there, the proportion of men seemed much higher than at other facilities we looked at.  It was nice for him to have guys around.
It's clean and the staff are caring.

My grandpa has been at this facility for a little over 6 months. The care the staff provides is excellent. They truly and genuinely care for him. They treat him with respect and are so patient with him. They have taken him out for Veterans Day and had a family Thanksgiving dinner that was delicious. I highly recommend Sunrise as a place for your loved one to stay!

Sunrise of Leawood has been the greatest assistant living facility my family has experienced. We've moved my grandma twice now to find the best option for her. The staff has been wonderful since she's moved in. They patiently answer all of our questions. They are all so sweet with her even when she's refusing to take her baths. They always make sure to treat her like their family. It has been great working with them to provide the best care for our grandma and we couldn't be happier. Thank you guys so much!

We moved my MIL here 3 months ago and we are thrilled with the care she is receiving.  They work hard to keep her comfortable and engaged with activities.  They are very communicative and are always open to hearing from us with questions or concerns.  We recommend this facility to anyone who is considering an assisted living option.

EDIT: Finally, after three months and MANY requests to "go home" our MIL is referring to Sunrise as her home.  Thank you to all who have graciously attended to her during this transition.
