"I would’ve loved to recommend this home to others, and I thought I was going to. As it turns out, they’re as unprofessional as they can come in this circumstance. Whether or not a perspective resident is a good fit in their community is up to them, but they at least owe the decency to let a family know their decision. I set up a meeting and was not ever contacted again to know if they would accept my relative. (It has been a week and a half and already have my family member in a MUCH better environment) I tried to ignore the fact that the administrator made that family member so nervous with his staring and occasional rude comments that she wanted to leave, but ultimately whatever their decision was going to be.... we decided we wouldn’t send our dog to their facility if that is the way that he is. I did like the case manager that I spoke to, but have since decided she could care less since she didn’t even bother to reach out after this meeting. Since explaining our story to others I have also heard of them kicking out residents that weren’t up to their standards. Sounds like they want to run an “adult home” with perfect people with no problems so they have no trouble, when they are missing the point that people aren’t looking for a home because they’re perfectly competent to live alone.
