My father moved into 80th Street in 2023 when my mother desperately needed help taking care of him. His Lewy Body Dimentia was only worsening. The people who ran this home, worked in this home, visited this home for activities, and took care of everything were absolutely fantastic. His end came quickly and he had major cognitive issues but that was due to his illness; his care was never an issue. I can't thank them enough for how they helped his last days, as sad as they were. If you have a loved one who needs memory care I cannot think of a better place. I will always be grateful.

My wife, who at that time had suffered with Alzheimer’s Disease for close to 7 years, moved into the 80th Street Residence in May 2024. She was in need of more care than her at home caregivers could provide, so her son and I did a fair amount of research to decide where she should be moved. It was both an easy, and as it turned out, the right choice. The kindness and loving care she received were really heartwarming, from the Executive Director, to the Associate Executive Director, to the the social worker, to the medical staff, and all the other wonderful and caring care managers and aides. Unfortunately, my wife’s stay was short and she passed in January 2025. Everything was done to make her last few days peaceful and comfortable both for her and her immediate family. I highly recommend 80th Street Residence for anyway me who might need such care.

My Mom was here. She had a private room. She unfortunately had Alzheimer’s. One day she asked an Aide on her floor to assist her because she needed to go to the restroom. The Aide said to her that she's busy to go ahead and pee in her diaper. My Mom then hit her. Next thing you know a huge football size security guard tackles my Mom and they inject her with something and she's a zombie for the rest of the day. Another visitor told me all about it.

My mom has been at the Residence for 8 1/2 years. The staff is incredible, the facility is immaculate and the directors are first rate. The way they steered the Residence through the pandemic should be a model for every type of facility everywhere. 80th Street Residence has helped my mom progress through this disease with as much dignity as possible. I'll be forever grateful!

80th Street is in a league of their own regarding a community setting for memory care. The leaders of this organization always value investing in residents and the team! It is wonderful to see such care and attention given to everyone to make sure it is truly a place of quality of life. We love how much they put into training and it shows in how care is given to each resident.
