O'Neill Healthcare North Ridgeville

My advice would be do all you can to avoid bringing your loved one to this facility. My family member was moved into a room with filthy carpet. The staff is unfriendly and uncaring. The facility is understaffed and the aides are overwhelmed. The food is poor quality and amount was about what I would feed a small child. One day my family member was in awful pain, call button was pushed and waited 50 minutes to get assisted into bed. Ended up yelling for help as were other people on the rehab floor while 2 nurses sat at computers or on cell phone and said “someone will be there as soon as they can”. Just unacceptable. We moved our loved one as soon as we could. The only good thing I can say about this facility is physical therapy does try their best

My father, who is currently 97 1/2, moved in here about 16 months ago. He’s in Assisted Living. I can’t speak highly enough of the kind and professional people at O’Neill. My Dad always comments on how well cared for he is and how everyone knows him by name. Not only are the nurses top notch (both friendly and professional al) but so are the activities and social staff as well as the aids and the orderlies. EVERYONE here is marvelous, it is clear they care for their residents. I am sure that being here not only prolonged his life, it improved his quality of life. I highly recommend this place, 10/10.

DO NOT bring your loved one here. Staff is the most rude, uncaring people I have ever encountered. Told staff my loved one was in pain, 2 hours went by and they did nothing about it. Talked to nurse manager who is also extremely rude and did nothing about it. Staff sits at the nurses station and gossips instead of doing their job. Takes a week or more to get a shower. Atleast an hour for your call light to be answered. TERRIBLE!!

Should be no stars, all negatives abour this facility, time to answer a call light average about 30mins, cleanliness of facility horrible, my dad has been here 5 days and I had to ask them to shower him last night, they said tgey will work on getting him in, came back today no shower scheduled. His Aide today Aeisha (sp) when i told her worked it out immediatley and got himnin shower ( she is only postive at this facility) I walked to restroom and a woman in another room, was begging me to help her get to bathroom and her call light was on - I let the nurse and aide know at the desk and looked up and saw the womans light on and buzzing at the desk. Was given a booklet about the facility and until I complained no one talked to us about what we should expect at the facility. Horrible communication. The aides (blue scrubs) are running around and trying to meet the needs of the patients. Some nurses when walking by the desk are on their phones, while call lights are buzzing. I counted 14 staff members walk by in a 35min period while my dad's call light was on. He has had a few PT sessions but still after 5 days cannot stand on his own. I am moving him to another facility or home.

Words do not justice how wonderful this facility is. My dad was in their memory care unit. He received the best care before he passed. He was nurtured, given grace, patience, and respect. Every person working in this unit amazed me each and every day we visited. They always welcomed us with a smile and would tell us how he was doing. I just can’t say enough great things about O’Neill North Ridgeville. Our family will forever be grateful to them.
