Convincing Mom to visit a senior home wasn’t easy, but we made it happen! Karla made the experience smooth and comfortable. She was respectful, never pushy or intrusive. Throughout our visit, Karla made us feel like family. She's truly an invaluable part of the Rivers Edge team.
The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The location near the river makes it even nicer and right next-door to a little nine hole golf course grocery store and a drugstore. One of the nicest retirement communities I have visited.
We visited River’s Edge for their latest Friday afternoon concert. It was a jazz trio & held in the lobby. Very enjoyable. A definite plus as we consider our next step.
We were greatly impressed with this facility: the lovely peaceful grounds along the river -- quiet yet amidst an upscale busy area near Howe and Fair Oaks Blvd -- the units we were shown, the prices quoted, the elegant dining area with wonderful appetizers served at this open house event, the emphasis on fitness and enrichment activities, the friendly yet mellow sales people. It was much more than we expected. The facility comprises areas for independent living and a separate section for assisted living with many intensive services offered at separate pricing. We were exploring for future consideration (although we hope that will be still many years away).
The staff at River's Edge is very professional and caring. The grounds and the facility are well taken care of. I was trying to figure out what I wanted in a facility...in the end I just had a good feeling of what I saw and felt in my 2 tours with Breah Taylor. She knew so many residents, is easy to talk to and knew answers to my questions. It means a lot to know there are long term employees. This place was at the top of my list and we will definitely consider River's Edge for Mom when the right time comes.
