"My father came here after suffering a significant stroke. The stroke left him without speech or the use of his legs. He went to Avalon care center in Federal way where we thought he would get rehabilitated. Instead he was abused and neglected. Leading to hospitalization of pneumonia. I wish we had been offered Silent Harbor in the beginning and we brought in the rehabilitation to the home. The care and love he has received here has been above and beyond!! In the seven months we have been on this journey, he has never received the kind of care he has in this home. Know if you bring your loved ones here they will be well cared for and well taken care of. I feel blessed that we have been able to experience this, as this is the first! I’ve been very disappointed by the system and insurance companies that my father has paid into all his life. Finally, he has received the care he deserves. I wish there were more facilities and places for our elders to receive the type of service and love he has gotten here!! They believe in the sanctity of life and respect our elders deserve. Something that is significantly lacking in our current healthcare system and American culture!!"
