Five Star Home Health Care

After returning to the U.S. from the Philippines, my mom unfortunately suffered a fall that resulted in a fractured tailbone and hip. Following her discharge from a physical rehabilitation hospital, we were given several options for in-home nursing and physical therapy. We’re very glad we chose Five Star Home Health Care. The nurses and physical therapists were flexible with scheduling, always arrived on time, and provided compassionate, effective care in a quick manner with frequent text follow-ups. When my mom’s blood pressure reached a concerning level, Amanda went above and beyond by coordinating emergency services - something I deeply appreciated, especially living in a high-rise where I wasn't experienced with logistics. While I may not be able to name everyone who helped, I want to give a special thank you to Amanda, Cailin, Adama, Diamond, and Jong. Your support and dedication were essential in helping my mom regain as much independence as possible 🫶🏻🩷🎀

I was happy with this company. A friend had hip replacement and was sent home with a catheter he could not empty himself. RN Amanda got him a simpler catheter and very patiently taught him how to use it. She is an extraordinary teacher, reallly gifted. I was also very happy with the two women I dealt with regarding scheduling, Meryl and Victoria. Someone always answered the phone, and when occasionally a caregiver did not work out, they found a substitute quickly.

Most of their field clinician/nurses are wonderful. Unfortunately, staff turnover is quite high. Office admin is very disorganized & their entire system focus is on quick fix, high-dollar cases. This causes inconsistent care at best. If your loved one requires on going, nurse-level visits & does not need a full package of other unnecessary, bill padding services...... they will eventually drop the patient from care without any notice whatsoever to you or other health professionals involved (referring physician, etc).

My sister and I are very impressed with the nurses ( Brandy and Natalie), physical therapists ( Celso and Ju), and occupational therapists ( Donna and Jeffrey), at Five Star. The team has been helping my mother ( at home) since her fall. They are efficient, professional, and caring. The company is responsive, to calls, twenty four hours a day. They are helping Mom to thrive. We are very grateful to have their service. I highly recommend Five Star.

Five Star Home Health Care truly is 5 Stars! Their caregivers and clinicians are attentive, compassionate and reliable. The caregivers take great pride in the care that they are providing to all clients. Their communication is wonderful, you can speak to a live person 24/7. Any time you need assistance, someone is there!
