Mays Housecall Home Health of Oklahoma City
Mays Housecall Home Health of Oklahoma City
Mays Housecall Home Health of Oklahoma City is a Medicare-certified home health agency serving Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and surrounding areas. A Medicare-certified home health agency provides skilled nursing services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, medical social services, and home health aide services to patients in their homes.
Medicare covers home health services for patients who are homebound and require skilled nursing care or therapy services on an intermittent basis. A physician must certify that the patient needs home health care and establish a plan of care.
Home health agencies are certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and must meet federal Conditions of Participation. These requirements ensure that agencies provide quality care, maintain proper documentation, and protect patient rights.
Medicare beneficiaries pay no cost for covered home health services when provided by a Medicare-certified agency. For more information about home health benefits, visit Medicare.gov. Compare home health agency ratings at Medicare Care Compare.
Quality ratings and agency data are updated periodically by CMS. We recommend verifying current information at Medicare Care Compare.

Avoid them. Seriously. They acted unprofessionally in many ways. To go into detail would take a lot more explaining, so I'll just say that we've been using CNAs for 24 years, and this is the first time an agency behaved so poorly. I can give this detail: when I told them the CNA they provided us had missed more than a day every week she worked for us, I was told we were lucky, and that 90% of their clients would consider that number of absences lucky.
Dealing with the nursing side of Mays Home Health has been absolutely atrocious. They are so used to dealing in the Medicare world that they have no idea what they are doing when presented with private insurance. Come to find out that they provided us with the WRONG payment structure without even verifying our insurance, it took an actual insurance representative to call the payment office and walk them through what we are responsible to pay as a co-pay instead of their so called upfront payment schedule. When things finally were straight on the insurance front, I called yesterday (the 11th) and spoke with the main office to verified when my wife’s next nursing appointment was so I can make sure my schedule was open. I was told that it was the next day (the 12th) and we should be hearing from the nurse to schedule a time, come to find out at 1pm today when I called to find out what is going on because we have heard anything I was told that it wasn’t today it is scheduled for tomorrow (the 13th). Apparently they read the wrong date that they said was scheduled. Their contract with Healthpro for PT has been wonderful to work with and my wife has had nothing but good things to say about any and all of the PT/PTA’s that she has worked with over the last three months. Mays Nursing, you need to get your act together and do it quickly.
