Merry Christmas to all the fine people at the Council On Aging. You are very kind and I appreciate Your generous support. Nina Collins is an All Star. Thank You for all You do for the seniors of Volusia County.
Valerie was incredible there so patient and compassionate!! Patience of a saint since I haven't seen a human adult to talk to in so long lol She helped me decide which walking support I needed and they charged me nothing!! Phenomenal experience that doesn't happen often lol
Compared to living in Massachusetts up in Brockton and on the Cape cod they tend to help out the middle and lower income people with meals on Wheels. Here in Volusia county they wanted $9 for what is like a Stouffer's frozen meal which cost like 350 so what are you going to buy I just have to order it from the grocery store. But anything that I needed help with was way out of price for a person on social security. I'm talking about having a homemaker come in or even just a companion to talk to when you live alone they really don't have anything to offer that I could afford not with the price of food and everything gone way up today they're not helping any wages for that so I just wouldn't recommend the council on aging at all
if you have a friend visiting and you are receiving services don't tell the m as all your services will be stopped they reassign the aids you were getting to other clients and you may never get them back even after your friends or family leave which is what I am dealing with now the work the aids do is outstanding and top notch and they are prompt and caring Ii have nothing but the best to say about the aids don't get me wrong they are outstanding it is just management that are too busy clinging to their jobs as nobody else here in fl wants to work their and top management doesn't want to do the supervisees job til they find someone else to do their jobs and since no one wants to work they will be doing it indefinitely but what do you expect from government workers get comfy on unemployment on be dang beach and let someone else do their jobs who cares as long as they get their unemployment for doing nothing why work?
This business is a drop off location for your extra cosmetic bags and menstrual products! Thank you, Council on Aging for supporting our nonprofit!
