For over 50 years, COA has been the premier provider of services to seniors in Volusia County. Thousands of clients each year receive services such as personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, companionship and Meals on Wheels. COA also manages senior centers, congregate dining sites and provides respite care programs and support groups throughout the county. EOE/DFWP Certified Nursing Assistant Job Description: Assists clients with personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, transferring or ambulating Provides supervision and companionship in order to relieve the primary caregiver for a specific period of time Assists with food, nutrition and diet activities, including preparation of meals when required and purchase of food and other items for the client’s care Will perform light homemaking services as prescribed by the service plan Certified Nursing Assistant Job Requirements: High school diploma or GED is required plus at least 6 months’ verifiable experience in direct client care Current Florida CNA license Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, auto insurance, CPR training and a Health Certificate Level II FBI fingerprint background, drug and TB screening will be conducted Solid time management abilities as well as excellent communication/interpersonal skills and an empathetic and compassionate bedside manner are a MUST Certified Nursing Assistant Benefits: We offer a starting pay of $16.00/hour Mileage and travel time between clients is paid All employees are eligible to participate in COA’s 403(b) Retirement Plan (with company match) and join our Employee Assistance Program upon hire Full time benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, paid holiday and paid time off plans.
