My wife Settie and I own a Griswold Home Care Franchise in Seattle/Eastside, serving the King County and surroundings. We didn’t meet until later in life but we both have experienced dealing with care for a loved one. It seems we have carried that passion so when we met, we decided to persue helping people seeking home care. We thought Griswold Home Care was one of the best ways we could provide care to those in need and we have been doing so for the past 15 years. We don’t have a contract, we ask for a 24 hours notice to cancel care, We don’t take a deposit or require any up-front payment, Our caregivers work one week, and they get paid the following week. We are licensed and insured. We offer two hours Free in home assessment. You're not obligated to choose or make any decision in that meeting. The assessment will give you useful information and leads us to the right caregiver for the requested care. Here’s about Griswold! Here’s about our caregivers! We have over 300 Certified Nursing Assistant Caregivers on our registry. Our caregivers are required to pass an annual 17 step process to be referred to our clients. The process starts with a national background check, the caregivers are required to bring their original (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant or (HCA) Home Health Aide certificates, current TB test, current CPR/First Aide, current food handler certification, be able to pass a yearly reference check, valid work permit or passport, original social security and valid driver’s license. There are a few other tests such as Osha for safety and infection control, a behavioral test (to match the caregiver with the client) and a yearly knowledge test. She realized that the elders didn’t have a choice other than moving to assisted living at that time. Her goal was to give the elders quality care at affordable rates. Gene had MS for the last 20 years of her life on wheel chair, she stayed as a CEO and involved to the end. Griswold Home Care is following Gene’s model and ideas, to give quality care to elders, have genuine compassion and make it affordable.
