About
DivineCare is a Senior Care Management Company and our focus is to provide our clients with a much higher quality of life than what is otherwise available. We evaluate all of a client’s needs including their physical, emotional, environmental, leisure, social and spiritual and ensure that those needs are met. We provide assistance to our clients in their private residences or in a Residential Care Facility.
As a member of the DivineCare team, caregivers perform tasks that focus on the client’s individual interests and needs, while keeping them safe and healthy. Insisting rest time, encouraging fluids and nutrition, and assisting with exercise is instrumental in keeping our clients healthy. Caregivers are the eyes and ears for early detection of problems or health issues with our clients. As a care provider, we are responsible for our clients’ well-being; therefore, it takes a personal desire to make a positive difference. DivineCare is devoted to providing exceptional care and only wishes to employ individuals who are reliable, requires little to no supervision and/or instruction, has a background working directly with the elderly, and a basic understanding of medical terminology, especially from a gerontology perspective. It is very important for our caregivers to continue elderly care training, especially when it relates to dementia.
Also an important focus while working with a client is maintaining a neat and organized environment, free of clutter and unsafe items. Therefore, light housekeeping is a daily task that should be considered and planned for during the allotted time with the client. Many of our clients may require consistent supervision and direction, but all require some form of assistance, whether it is meal prep, hygiene, dressing or medication. It is very important to develop a good relationship with the client, as our focus is providing one on one care. We are not babysitters! All of our clients, regardless of their mental function, can benefit from some form of stimulation. Our time with the client should be viewed and carried out as a mission to provide activities of the highest quality, which is directly relative to the client’s past or present interests. Outings are expected, but are, of course, based on the client’s physical ability.
