Home Instead

This experience has been just wonderful. My Mom really loves Vivian and Pat. They take such good care of her. The Family is very grateful for the woman and the flexibility when we need it.

My family contracted with Home Instead when my mom entered Brightview Assisted Living. It was a tough transition for her and was successful in part because of the help of Home Instead. Mom did not want to get out of bed at first but over time, with the help of the facility and the Home Instead aide, she became more and more engaged. The aide we had was a great fit for mom. Fun, vivacious, caring. It is very important the fit is a good match. I also want to acknowledge the home office. All requests or requested changes to our arrangements were understood and implemented, such as the hours we needed someone or if we needed additional resources. I am thankful we were not in this alone and recommend Home Instead of Nyack.

Home Instead was great to work with. I was trying to manage my stepmother's care from across the country. Things got so much easier once I started services with Home Instead. My stepmom has Alzheimer's which progressed rapidly during the course of their in-home care with her. I found the admin team (particularly Cassandra) to be incredibly friendly, understanding, and easy to work with. The caregivers provided reliable care and provided regular updates and feedback on her care needs. I knew that she was in good hands when they were with her. The entire team was also flexible in extending care if she got sick and working with her as her disease progressed. I really enjoyed working with the Home Instead team.

We were delighted with our experience with Home Instead. They were hired in July 2022 to help care my dad in his home. He was 95 at that time. We started with 3x/week, 5 hours/day. When his needs changed, Cassandra and MaryAnn were able to increase his aides to 7 days/week IMMEDIATELY! They were ALWAYS responsive, helpful and caring! I am the closest (geographically) daughter, and I live an hour and 40 minutes away from my dad-It was because of Home Instead that we were able to keep my dad in the home he was so comfortable in, for the last year and a half. I would recommend their office to anyone facing the dilemma of caring for a senior loved one.

The Home Instead staff, and particularly, our father's caregiver for the past two and a half years, have been kind, compassionate and accommodating, We have relied on them to care for our father while at work and have always known he was in the best care.
