Ambercare is a Medicare-certified hospice provider serving Belen, New Mexico and surrounding areas. A Medicare-certified hospice provides comfort care and support services to patients with terminal illnesses and their families. Hospice care focuses on quality of life rather than curative treatment.
Hospice care is available to patients whose physician certifies they have a terminal illness with a life expectancy of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Patients may receive hospice care at home, in a hospice facility, nursing home, or hospital.
Medicare-certified hospices must provide all four levels of hospice care: routine home care, continuous home care for periods of crisis, general inpatient care for symptom management, and inpatient respite care to give caregivers a break. Care is provided by an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and trained volunteers.

The entire staff has been caring and compassionate. Our hospice nurse, Crystal, has been attentive and patient making sure to listen and explain answers in detail that we can understand. Natalie, the shower assistant, is such a sweet patient person. I highly recommend Ambercare Hospice!
They hire anyone to care for people not certified my sister and niece were hired by them to watch my dad and it didn't turn out good
When the hospitals were pushing us out the door and the SNF did not have the adequate number of staff and my brother was not getting the care he needed, Ambercare employees came to the rescue and embraced us to provide the care needed. My brothers nurse Annette Chavez is so amazing, she listens and she wastes no time, she steps up to the plate above and beyond, God has placed her in our path for Steve's recovery 🙏
Really love Holly the Nurse and Clint the physical therapists who come weekly to attend to my husband Joseph. Professional and Very knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. Especially Holly who gives excellent support and advice on my husband's medical issues. We're so very satisfied with them.
The Home Health team at Belen, Ambercare are wonderful . I have only great things to share about the staff and care they provide . When there has been any issues the Manager Jake , has always been exceptional and very caring as well as professional in making sure to fix any concerns or issues the Nurses and Therpist that we have are all amazing and quick to help in any and all situations. The On call service is also wonderful .We have been with them since the beginning and will stay with them . They are Our Team and have become like family. They all care so much, We have been having to deal with The medical industry for nearly a year now and it’s hard to find caring or good reliable help within many medical facilities offered here . I can only say we were so relieved once we met this group of people .Once we was finally able to be home again and they have changed the way I feel about the medical Field . I just wish we could’ve had them as our team and service the entire journey wonderful place 🙏🏻❤️
