"Don't use if your loved one needs an intake near 5pm or help over a weekend! I can't speak to what happens during the regular weekdays, but my loved one was transported home on a Friday afternoon. The intake nurse showed up late afternoon and made sure to all of five minutes with my loved one, most of her time was on paperwork and noting how she was off over the weekend. Absolutely no time teaching any of the family how to move our patient or give her the care she needed. No supplies (had to order from Amazon once a friend explained what we needed), no assistance. Everything was supposed to sent (including meds) on Monday??? Then said all meds for the weekend were on order for a pharmacy-that did not happen. Took hours with someone working with an on-call nurse and waiting at a 24 hour pharmacy to get meds. Only redeeming service was the durable medical equipment company. They were awesome and way more help than anyone at Halcyon. Hospice has an opportunity to provide real support for a patient and his or her family during a very difficult and emotional time. Outside of the medical equipment contractor, this company created more stress on a family during an already very stressful time. "
