Full job description
Come join the Hawley Homecare team, where we show appreciation to our staff. We are currently hiring skilled & experienced caregivers to work with our amazing clients in their home, providing non-medical care. We screen all potential individuals applying with Hawley Homecare to ensure they possess the experience, knowledge, and confidence to be a great home care provider. Hawley Homecare offers seniors assistance with light house cleaning, cooking, meal prep, companionship, assistance with grooming, assistance with showers, pet care, transfers, incontinence care and transportation. As a home care provider with Hawley Homecare, you must remain attentive to the client, respectful, helpful, and thoughtful to ensure your client has the care they needat all times
Geography
You will be traveling to clients homes in the Albuquerque & surrounding areas.
Requirements
To be a certified caregiver for Hawley Homecare, you must meet the following requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Have at least 4 years of experience in senior home care or senior living facility.
Must have reliable and clean transportation (some clients may need transportation to Drs Appts, pharmacy etc. You are compensated for drive time for client transportation)
Must pass a strict background check.
Must pass a paid Hawley Training program with at least an 85% or better for certification prior to being hired
Paid in person training/shadowing with another caregiver or care manager.
Must always have valid vehicle insurance.
Must be reliable & dependable to scheduled shift.
Must be on time for your shifts.
Must have unrestricted availability, including weekends.
Must be ok with driving from client to client.
Must be very attentive to client while on shift.
Must be professional, respectful, and very proactive always while on shift.
Must complete all activity notes prior to your shift ending.
Physical Requirements
As a caregiver, you will be subject to physical lifting (with help if needed) and transfers while on shift as well as incontinence care.
You must be on your feet for at least 8 hours a day.
Must be able to lift and/or transfer clients safely.
You must have general knowledge of medical equipment such as wheelchairs, hoyer lifts, catheters, gait belts, etc.
