Direct Care Professional - Caregiver/Personal Assistant

Full Job Description: Heritage Living Inc is an organization that provides residential support services for adults and elderly with Dementia, Alzheimer's Disease, and other chromic conditions that require assistance to maintain their highest level of functional capability in the activities of daily living. The facility combines independence with personal care in a warm and dignified home environment. When the physical needs of our Clients are met, they are free to relax in a safe and nurturing environment that offers activities fostering their independence, knowing that help is only a step away when needed. Responsibilities: 1. Assist with activities of daily living, including passing medication as assigned, following facility protocol, licensing regulation and guidelines for both Client and employee safety. 2. Follow safety guidelines in the facility, including proper lifting technique and universal precautions when providing care to the Clients. 3. Follow the schedule of duties for the Direct Care Professional, as well as the individual plan of care for each Client. 4. Function as a team, assisting coworkers as the need arises. 5. Monitor Client activity, food intake, functional status, psychosocial status, taking action as required to promote Client well-being. 6. Report status change immediately to the supervisor. 7. Act immediately on any Client crisis, following protocol and basic first aid training. 8. In the event all assigned duties cannot be completed, as for assistance and report to the Assistant Administrator. 9. Implement and conduct daily activities with the Clients. 10. Set up, serve and clean up the meals for Clients. 11. Promote open communication between health care professionals, families, Clients and staff. 12. Any other assignments made by your direct supervisor or administrator. Qualifications: 18 years of age or older Must be able to pass fingerprint clearance High school diploma or GED Current First Aid and CPR Certification Pass TB, Physical, and Health Screening Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
