We at Blue Tern Home Care are actively looking for caregivers for multiple shifts.
Each shift is 60 to 90 minutes in one clients home.
We pay milage and offer full benefits.

Our caregivers are not only reliable, dependable and honest, but also compassionate and caring. A key part of this position is helping our clients stay connected with the outside world by taking them to appointments, social outings, or helping them run errands. Helping to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment is an equally important part of the job. We are looking for caregivers that are interested in learning and growing their skills within the home care industry.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to:
Assisting with personal care: bathing and hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and exercise
Basic food preparation: preparing snacks and meals, shopping, housekeeping, laundry, and other errands
General health care: medication and appointment reminders
Mobility assistance: assist in use of canes, walkers, wheelchairs and safe transfers to and from chairs, bathtub, or automobiles
Personal supervision: providing constant companionship and general supervision
Emotional support: being a stable companion and support the client in all matters personal, health-related and emotional
Dementia management: orienting or grounding someone with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, relaying information from a doctor to family members
Back-up care (or respite) services: providing other caregivers and family a break
Home organization: help with organizing, packing or cleaning for a trip, or general house care and cleaning
Health monitoring: following a care plan and noticing any changes in the individual’s health, recording and reporting any differences
Additional duties:
∙ Maintain excellent and objective ongoing communication with the Blue Tern Home Care office staff; respond to phone calls, texts and/or emails in a timely manner.
∙ Document thoroughly the cares provided on the Client Service Record, including initials and signatures.
∙ Clock in and out consistently and on time through the Alora App.
∙ Time off requests via email at least two weeks prior to request
. ∙ Submit contact information, and mailing address, as changes occur.
∙ Provide updated and accurate information, documents, licenses, etc. to maintain personnel folder and requirements for field placement.
∙ Work the scheduled shifts assigned in a timely and consistent manner.
∙ Maintains a professional relationship with the client and family
∙ Maintain HIPPA compliance and confidentiality at all times
