The Art of Living Community & Support Services is seeking skilled, dependable, and caring professionals to assist with providing on-going direct support to adults with developmental disabilities in our residential homes. Applicant must have at least 1 year work experience with the Adult Developmentally Disabled/Special needs community. $10 - $10.50/hour Training Provided! Flexible work hours available! Applicant must have and provide proof upon hire: HS Diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; CPR/First Aid (training available) CPI Certification (training available) Physical with TB screening 7 Year MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) Must be willing to complete Criminal background check Must be able to type and utilize a computer/internet/Microsoft word Must be able to complete mandatory DBHDD online computer training courses We have 14 homes in the Atlanta Metro area and the homes in the following areas are currently hiring: Decatur, GA Ellenwood, GA Stone Mountain, GA Immediate hire. Serious inquiries ONLY. Must be able to attend 3 day paid training for M-W 9am-5pm and start immediately!! We are looking to fill the following vacancies: 2nd Shift - Residential 3:30pm - 11pm 3rd Shift - Residential 11pm - 8:30am Part Time - (35 hours or less) Full Time - (35 - 40 hours) PRN (upon availability) Applicants applying for a Residential DSP position MUST be able to work every other weekend from 8am-8pm or 8pm - 8am. Residential Direct Support Staff responsibilities include but are not limited to: supporting 2 to 3 residents with personal services such as: cooking, bathing, oral care, dressing, and grooming; Monitoring resident's condition by observing physical and mental state; Recording resident's information by making entries in daily electronic system, notifying supervisor of changes or abnormal activity; Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy environment by following agency and state policy and procedures. Preparing and serving meals and snacks by following dietary requirement and nutrition standards; Assisting with the self-administration of medications; Participating in routine training opportunities; Ensuring that the home care agency remains in compliance by adhering to professional standards, home care policies and procedures federal, state, and local requirements. Must be able to utilize computer/internet/Microsoft word to properly chart daily notes onto client database.
