Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Job Description

As a Medical Assistant, you will provide essential support to healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care. This is a vital role that requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care, and administrative tasks. Responsibilities: - Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures - Obtain and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse - Administer medications as directed by the physicians - Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies - Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing and coding tasks - Educate patients on medication instructions, procedures, and general healthcare information - Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations - Follow proper infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff -Must be able to drive the physician and work in Lompoc one day per week on alternating Wed/Thurs. Do not need to use own vehicle. Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred - Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) - Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient service - Must have a CA driver's license and a clean driving record - Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment We offer competitive pay based on experience and qualifications.
