GENERAL DESCRIPTION Provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Adheres to the policies, operating procedures, the Mission and Core Values of Omega Senior Living. Responsible for completing the daily shift report and communicating directly to the next shift any urgent needs. Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisors. Demonstrates ability to manage assigned tasks within the scheduled shift. Assists with resident care to include housekeeping, laundry, social needs, and demonstrates proper lifting techniques. Assists with serving meals and essential clean-up. Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner. Demonstrates skills in meeting the physical and emotional needs of the resident. Report all changes in the resident’s condition to the DON/Charge Nurse/HWD as soon as practical. Report all accidents and incidents you observe on the shift that they occur. Agree not to disclose resident’s protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator. Assist the DON/HWD with implementing any required plans of corrections following surveys or audits. Will keep certification current and participate in continuing education to include staff meetings, in services and web based trainings. EDUCATION Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent. Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant from the state. Current CPR and First Aid certification as required by state regulatory agency. EXPERIENCE Must be a licensed Certified Nurse Assistant having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with laws of this State. Prefer prior experience in AL or SNU. Prefer prior experience as a certified nurse aide for a least 1 year. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel. Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents. Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition. Must provide documentation of certification upon application for the position.
