Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
The Caregiver is the heart of daily resident care at Dani’s Helping Hands, Inc., serving as the front line of compassion within our facility. This role is responsible for providing direct, hands-on personal care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to elderly residents in a warm, home-like, licensed RCFE setting. The Caregiver works closely with the Facility Administrator and Lead Caregiver to ensure that every resident receives attentive, individualized care that honors their unique needs, preferences, and life history.
We are looking for individuals who demonstrate genuine compassion, patience, reliability, and a deep commitment to preserving each resident’s dignity, independence, and quality of life. Our caregivers are more than staff members — they are trusted companions and advocates for the elderly individuals entrusted to our care. Every interaction is an opportunity to bring comfort, safety, and joy to someone’s day.
This position requires passing a mandatory Caregiver Performance Test administered by Dani’s Helping Hands, Inc. before being assigned to the floor independently. This evaluation ensures that every caregiver who serves our residents is fully prepared to deliver the high standard of care our facility is known for.
You MUST be able to:
● Observe and report changes in residents’ physical, mental, and emotional condition to the supervisor or administrator immediately
● Recognize and respond to signs and symptoms of dementia, confusion, agitation, and behavioral changes

● Assist with recreational and social activities that promote residents’ psychosocial well-being, companionship, and independence
● Answer telephones and greet visitors in a professional and courteous manner
● Maintain accurate daily logs, incident reports, and resident care documentation
● Attend all mandatory staff meetings and in-service training sessions
● Uphold and protect all residents’ personal rights as defined under 22 CCR § 87468
● Maintain strict confidentiality of all resident information and records
