Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
Daily activities: Assisting patients with activities like bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility Vital signs: Recording patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, oxygen level, and temperature Medication: Encouragement Cleaning: Cleaning and sanitizing patient areas, including changing bed sheets Monitoring: Monitoring and reporting health changes to other staff members Communication: Collecting information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family members Safety: Following established safety precautions and reporting accidents and incidents Training: Staying up-to-date on CNA training, policies, and procedures CNAs work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). They must demonstrate competency in many areas, including confidentiality, ethics, technical skills, and clinical knowledge.
