Certified Nursing Assistant - Night shift

Bethel Lutheran Home – is a non-profit organization located in Madison, South Dakota and has been providing superior care to the community for 59 years. We are adding a Certified Nursing Assistant to our night shift nursing team! • Competitive wages • Great team-oriented working environment • Offers great benefits options - including but not limited to: Health, Dental, Life Insurance, Disability, 401(k) • Quarterly Retention Bonus • $2.50 shift differential for night shift Responsibilities • Help residents with personal hygiene and care such as bathing, grooming, and dressing, and bowel and bladder care • Take and record patient vital signs and weight. • Observe and record residents’ conditions, oral intake and other behavior and report changes to supervisor. • Help residents walk with canes, walkers, or other devices. • Make beds and maintain clean and safe environments for patients. • Lift, transport, and move patients using the appropriate techniques. • Treat all residents, family, and other visitors with respect, and engage with them in a tactful manner at all times. • Comply with all safety and health regulations Qualifications • Must be currently certified by the State of South Dakota. • High School diploma or GED preferred. • Must have COVID-19 vaccination. Boosters are highly recommended. • FLU shot preferred but not required. Yearly flu shot provided. • Prior experience in a direct patient care setting or long-term care facility preferred. • Physical ability to perform job-related duties. • Must be compassionate and personable. • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments. • Strong attention to detail. • Ability to handle emotional and stressful situations in a professional manner while remaining calm.
