Caregiver Job Description
We are looking for caregivers or CNAs for our assisted living facility. The right candidate will be dependable, able to work well with others, enjoys working with the elderly, and is hard working. We have a variety of shifts available, primarily part-time but with the potential for full-time. The job includes bathing and dressing residents, helping residents to the dining rooms, take residents to the restroom, answer resident calls, help transfer from wheelchair to regular chairs, and some light housekeeping. The right candidate will be able to speak, read, and write English to communicate with residents and document work. All employees must be able to pass a background check. Prior experience working with seniors is also a plus. There is frequent lifting and transferring and you must be able to complete the essential functions of the job. The candidate must complete the 6-hour pre-service dementia training per state requirements. COVID-19 considerations: We provide our employees with PPE, are following all proper safety precautions for keeping our residents and staff safe. We have exceeded the guidelines in place that have been mandated by the department of human service because safety is a top priority.
