CNA/PCA/MT

Wake Assisted Living Memory Care has fulltime and part time positions available for CNA/MT on all shifts. Pay will be discussed if interviewed and based on experience. . Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be a high school graduate or have GED Medication aides must successfully pass the written examination prior to or within 90 days after successful completion of the clinical skills validation portion of a competency evaluation. Job Tasks: Use Universal Precautions and Infection Control. Administer medications as ordered by the primary care provider. Ensure appropriate sanitary techniques are used during preparation and administration of medications. Know the procedure for identifying residents before administering medications and treatments. Use the MAR during preparation and administration of medications. Must be knowledgeable of the facility’s policies for medication administration. Process physician orders Send/fax orders to pharmacy Transcribe orders onto the MAR Utilize back-up pharmacy when necessary Order medications in a timely manner. ALWAYS Perform narcotic counts at the change of each shift. Return discontinued medications to the pharmacy When medications arrive from the pharmacy, they are to be checked in and placed in the appropriate storage area. Any other duties as assigned.
