The Purpose: To support the community by providing premier care to each resident through direct care to residents in accordance with Community policies and procedures. Responsibilities: 1. Attends new employee on boarding, orientation and all mandatory in-services to include Relias 2. Acts as an active member of the nursing department 3. Complies with the Code of Conduct and corporate compliance 4. Changes resident bedding as necessary and makes unoccupied beds 5. Passes fresh drinking water and ice 6. Serves and assist in tray set and assist in picking up trays 7. Answers call bells timely reporting issues to charge nurse 8. Transport solid linen containers and stocks linen carts from the linen closet 9. Provides C.N.A. tasks to assigned residents per C.N.A. competency guidelines 10. Transports resident to and from dining room, activities, and other areas as directed 11. Completes resident feeding training and assists with meal service when directed 12. Label's personal items completes inventory at admission and discharge 13. Follow Community infection control policies 14. Reports to nurse when residents have changes physically or behaviorally 15. Interacts with others with respect supportive and calm manner 16. Cleans resident nails and combs/brushes hair 17. Documents in POC daily 18. Performs other duties as assigned 19. Address concerns immediately and reports them to supervisor 20. Abides by clock in/out and meal break policies 21. Consistently demonstrates dependability and punctuality STANDARDS: Position-Specific: 1. Goal around making rounds and perform nursing care that is outlined on the care plan. 2. All issues are reported to a licensed nurse immediately. (Under the supervision of a licensed nurse) 3. No violations of community procedures for delivering care and elevation protocol. 4. No safety infractions of residents under your supervision Qualifications: Current TX CNA certification High School Diploma or GED A minimum of one year of experience in LTC setting is preferred
