Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
RA/CNA Full time/Part time If you have a true passion for providing care to seniors in their time of need, Amber Oaks Assisted Living is for you! Full time/part time Resident Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant positions available for an energetic, outgoing, caring individual with a genuine desire to work with seniors to manage day-to-day healthcare operations. As an integral part of the caregiving team, we strive to translate our team’s passion into meaningful experiences that provide our residents with the highest quality of care by promoting independence with the best possible care while treating the resident with the utmost dignity and respect. We are currently in need of Full/Part time positions; 2nd shift, 3 pm – 11 pm and 3rd shift, 11 pm – 7 am. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • A high school diploma or GED 18 years or older • Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in the English language • Have demonstrated experience in the senior healthcare industry • Be accurate, concise, detail-oriented and able to work cooperatively as a team member • Effectively communicate with residents, families, staff and all levels of the organization • All candidates subject to reference check, pre-employment drug test, TB test and criminal history check EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Contribute to a positive environment for team members • Provide assistance with activities of daily living to meet the resident’s physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual needs with respect and dignity. This could include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, laundry, bed making, and other duties as assigned • Demonstrate dependable work habits • Ability to display tactful, cheerful, and enthusiastic disposition with all residents and family members. • Prioritizes tasks to ensure optimum services to residents as requests and/or needs change. • Maintains a safe environment for the patient according to regulations, policy and procedure • Maintain compliance with state rules and regulations. • Attend and participate in continuing educational programs to keep abreast of changes in the field. Maintain current license/certification as required. • Honor residents’ rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints. • Maintain accurate and current records • Communicate well with patients/clients and family members. Provide a warm and friendly greeting and an approachable attitude to families, visitors, and patients/residents/clients. Respond to expressed concerns with a helpful, caring demeanor.
