Amada's ESSENTIAL DUTIES: perform companionship and personal care activities that help assist the Client w/ADLs (Activities of Daily Living); these include, but are not limited to: Basic ADLs: Walking, Feeding, Dressing & Grooming, Toileting, Bathing (personal hygiene), and Transferring Instrumental ADLs: Managing Transportation (accompany/drive Clients on Errands and/or Medical appts); Light Housekeeping; Shopping, Preparing meals & snacks according to Client instructions; Medication Reminders; Managing Communication (e.g. telephone & mail) Other: In certain situations, providing Hospice supportive care; Incontinence care; Bed-bound Patient care; Assistance with Blood Glucose monitoring; Use of lifting equipment (such as Gait Belts and/or Hoyer Lifts) Amada's IDEAL CAREGIVER/CNA will have: 1 year+ of experience working w/Seniors in a home setting [preferred] Current valid/verifiable CA Driver's License [required] Access to reliable transportation [required] Proof of current car/auto insurance [required] Evidence of negative/clear tuberculosis (TB) test within the last year [required] Live Scan Fingerprint (for DOJ & FBI screening; part of your HCA registration) [required] Two (2) forms of ID, compliant with I-9 requirements [required] Must be able to pass national background check Registered Home Care Aide (HCA) w/State of CA (assistance provided if necessary) [required] Amada Senior Care is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity.
