Job Summary
As a Caregiver at WestGarden Cares, you’ll provide compassionate, personalized care to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. Your role will be vital in ensuring they feel supported, safe, and valued every day.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care:
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Support with mobility, transfers, and assistive devices.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
Medication Management:
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Monitor and document medication usage.
Health Monitoring:
• Take and record vital signs.
• Report health changes to family and healthcare providers.
Companionship:
• Provide emotional support and engaging conversation.
• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social activities.
Household Assistance:
• Light housekeeping (laundry, cleaning, organizing).
• Maintain a safe and tidy home environment.
Communication:
• Keep open lines of communication with clients, families, and the care team.
• Document care provided and any significant observations.
Qualifications
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred:
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Experience providing personal care to elderly or disabled individuals.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
