Our home health care facility is looking for an experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. At our home health agency, the LPN helps to fulfill the care requirements of our patients. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the successful candidate will work within their entire scope of practice. The LPN will be fully accountable for ensuring that the utmost in competent care and safety is consistently delivered to patients. This opportunity awaits a motivated and ambitious professional with home health experience.
Position Requirements:
As a Home Health LPN with our home health agency, you must be patient/family focused, loyal, motivated and interested in serving your community.
Education and/or Experience:
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure and other requirements:
Valid Florida LPN License.
Valid Florida State Driver’s License.
Continuing Education: As required for licensure.
Current CPR certification required.
Level 2 background check.
For field-based positions, employees must have reliable transportation which will enable them to perform tasks and responsibilities in a timely and appropriate fashion.
Must provide proof of valid automobile insurance.
The ability to type 25 wpm is highly preferred.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends
Exceptional staff training and customer service skills
Responsibilities:
LPN to be responsible for identifying patient and family needs
Coordinating provision of services under physician’s orders.
The LPN utilizes monitoring, intervention, and teaching skills to maximize patient comfort and enhance the quality of life for the patient/family at the privacy of the patient home.
Administer medications and document therapeutic effects
Take vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration)
Assist with patient comfort
Help coach staff as necessary
Pay training (Axxess EMR and Orientation)
