Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Description

As a member of our nursing team, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care for our residents. Your expertise as an LPN will also involve closely observing patients under treatment, identifying progress and any potential side effects of medications. You will administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas, and provide basic medical care such as wound cleaning and dressing. Additionally, you will collect samples for lab testing as assigned, contributing to the comprehensive care provided to our residents. One of the most rewarding aspects of your role will be helping residents maintain their optimal level of independence. By providing compassionate care and support, you will empower residents to function at their best and enhance their quality of life. Qualifications: Currently registered by the NYS Education Department as a Practical Nurse, or ability to transfer licensure to New York State Good organization, observation, documentation, and hands-on care skills Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred Available Schedules: -Full -time, 40 hours/week, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, weekdays every other weekend and some holiday (Skilled Nursing) -Full -time, 40 hours/week, 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM or 36 hours/week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, weekdays every other weekend and some holiday (Skilled) -Full-time, 24 hours/week, 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM, one weekday every other weekend and some holiday (Skilled or Assisted) -Part-time, 16 hours/week, 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM, every other weekend and some holiday (Skilled Nursing) At Kendal at Ithaca, we value our employees and offer competitive compensation and benefits to support your professional growth and well-being.
