Come work at a place with a very reasonable LPN to patient ratio. Job Summary: Participates in assessing, planning, and directing, as well as providing actual primary nursing care for an assigned number of residents. Directs basic care provided by nurse aides. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current Licensed Practical Nurse License required. Knowledge of understanding of the geriatric resident and their needs. Administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician, and in accordance with current practice standards. ___b. Assists in all facets of care to the residents as needed, such as in the area of ADL’s, meal services, etc. ___c. Assures that the restorative/rehabilitative nursing care plans are per-formed and documented as regulated and according to current procedure. ___d. Performs IV therapy. Other duties as assigned.
