Loving and attentive family seeking a compassionate and skilled LPN or RN to care for our sweet baby who was born with a congenital heart defect. This is more than a job — looking for someone who will become a trusted and valued part of child’s care team and daily life. This baby is strong, expressive, and brings so much joy. Due to their heart condition, they require close monitoring and specialized nursing care to ensure safety, comfort, and healthy development.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in our home setting
- Monitor heart rate, oxygen saturation, and respiratory status
- Administer medications as prescribed
- Manage feeding needs (bottle, NG/G-tube if applicable)
- Recognize and respond appropriately to signs of distress
- Maintain accurate documentation of care
- Communicate clearly with parents and medical providers
- Support developmental engagement during awake periods
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license (in good standing)
- Pediatric experience; cardiac experience is ideal but not necessary
- Experience with infants and/or medically fragile children
- CPR/BLS certification (PALS preferred)
- Comfortable with medical equipment (pulse oximeter, oxygen therapy, feeding pumps, etc.)
- Reliable, patient, calm under pressure, and family-centered in approach
