Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Job Description
Responsibilities: - Perform aseptic techniques during medical procedures - Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing - Assist with sonography procedures as needed - Lift and transfer patients safely and with proper body mechanics - Assist with suturing wounds under the direction of a physician - Provide education and counseling on family planning methods - Administer dialysis treatments to patients as directed by healthcare providers - Assist with Botox injections under the supervision of a licensed practitioner - Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures as part of a medical team - Administer basic IV therapy to patients under the direction of a healthcare provider Requirements: - Valid nursing license in [CA] - Minimum [0-1] years of experience as a registered nurse - Proficiency in performing aseptic techniques and specimen collection processing - Familiarity with sonography procedures and equipment - Ability to lift and transfer patients safely and effectively - Knowledge of suturing techniques and wound care protocols - Understanding of family planning methods and counseling techniques - Experience in administering dialysis treatments is preferred but not required - Familiarity with Botox administration protocols is preferred but not required - Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures and equipment is preferred but not required Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 10 per week Benefits: Continuing education credits Flexible schedule Paid training Travel reimbursement Medical specialties: Home Health Standard shift: Day shift Supplemental pay types: Bonus opportunities Breakdown pay Completion bonus Double time pay Hourly bonus Weekly schedule: Weekends as needed License/Certification: LVN (Required) BLS Certification (Required) LPN (Preferred) Work Location: On the road Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities and requirements for the position of Field Nurse.
