Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Job Description
The Charge Nurse implements the established plan of care for each assigned group of resident’s. Responsibilities include total care for ill and dependent residents, administration of medications, performance of treatments, provision of resident/family education as directed, and maintenance of a record of the care provided to patients. Perform nursing duties as directed, including administering medications and performing treatments as ordered by physician. Complete documentation in and encourage use of the Communication Log on each shift. Participate in end-of-shift report to ensure all needed information is communicated. Assist with physician orders and pharmacy delivery of medications. Observe residents and collect data pertinent to resident care. Communicate all relevant resident information with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed. Maintain compliance with all Federal (Title 22) and state regulations and company policies and procedures applicable to job duties. Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests, following established safety standards. Encourage teamwork among all departments and assist with conflict resolution. Present positive and professional image. Per State of California regulations, as a “mandated reporter” you must report all known or suspected incidents of resident abuse of dependent adults or elders. Performs other duties as assigned and consistent with the success of the position. License: California LVN (required) Salary: Varies on experience Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
