Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in various healthcare settings. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for patients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in outpatient, inpatient, or emergency medicine environments, with a focus on geriatrics and patient care. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment. Monitor and document patient health status, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Help with mobility and transportation needs within the facility or during outings. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following health and safety protocols. Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to outpatient care, hospital medicine, and geriatrics. Qualifications Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of outpatient and inpatient care practices, including emergency medicine protocols. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary. Valid Georgia driver's license. Reliable Transportation. Willingness to travel to clients within our service area.
