Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide high-quality, personalized care to clients in their homes. As a PCA, you will play a vital role in supporting clients’ daily needs while promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ quality of life
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and maintaining a safe environment
- Accompany clients to appointments or run errands as needed
- Observe and report any changes in physical or mental condition to supervisors or family members
Requirements:
- Caring, patient, and reliable personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions
- Basic understanding of personal care and safety practices
- Previous caregiving experience is a plus but not required (training available)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if needed.
