Job Description Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) Full-time positions available on Night (11p-7a) Shifts. $2500 Sign On Bonus for Full-Time New Hires! Full-Time Weekend Baylor Positions Available! The Grove at Washington is looking to add a caring and compassionate Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) to be part of our team! The RN Supervisor is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents under the medical direction and supervision of the residents’ attending physicians, the Director of Nursing, and the Medical Director of the facility. They also monitor the performance of non-licensed personnel and assist in modifying the treatment regimen to meet the physical and psychological need of the resident, in accordance with established medical practices and the requirements of the policies and procedures of this facility in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards governing the facility. Job Responsibilities: Admit, transfer & discharge as residents as required. Inform nursing personnel of new admission, their expected time of arrival, room assignments, etc.. Ensure that rooms are ready for new admission. Participate in the orientation or new residents/responsible parties to facility. Provides direct resident care as needed. Gives report and assignment to CNAs. Review the resident’s chart for specific treatments, medication orders, diet, etc., as necessary. Implement and maintain established nursing objectives and standards. Educates the resident through use of nursing knowledge and skills according to their needs to promote their mental and physical well-being. Assist with physician rounds and examinations. Consults with resident’s physician in providing the resident’s care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., as necessary. Notifying physician of automatic stop orders prior to the last dosage being administered. Responsible for interpretation and execution of physician’s orders and calling physician as indicated. Assists with checking monthly orders with MARs and TARs. Encourage attending physicians to review treatment plans, record and sign their orders, progress notes, etc.. Makes periodic (at least daily) rounds to observe and evaluate the resident's physical and emotional status and to ensure continuing quality resident care. Completes MDS and Care Plans as assigned. Develops a nursing care plan, individualizing the care, revises the plan as necessary. Routinely assesses the total needs of the residents and adjust Care Plans as needed. Reviews care plan daily to ensure that appropriate care is being rendered. Is responsible for accurate observation, evaluation, and reporting of resident’s symptoms, sudden change in weight, change in condition reactions and progress to physician and shift supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned. Education and Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a RN in Pennsylvania. Previous long-term care experience is desirable. Computer knowledge preferred.
