"While in their care (Sept 21- Jan 22), Ms. Pam called my daughter (and other patients) fat multiple times. I addressed this with the staff but no changes were made. My daughter was name called and attacked several times by other patients where she was physically injured with clothes completely torn. When my daughter was having difficultly, staff would simply just tell her "go to your room" where her feelings/emotions were not asked, she was not encouraged to talk about her feelings, as well as, her healthy coping skills not facilitated with staff which created my daughter to have the emotion of anger as her only emotion to anything frustrating, not getting her way, and PTSD related episodes there after. My daughter also started self-harming several times during her stay at The Meridian. The second time she self-harmed the psychiatrist, Dr. Guido Ludergnani, did not know even with me informing the therapist, Melissa Woodham, the psychiatrist's head nurse, Nurse Annie, and even with several blood drawn cuts down her arm. They did not put into place a suicide watch. The psychiatrist also saw my daughter alone, did not take my concerns, observations, or data of my child during phone calls, visits, and passes into treatment and medication changes. He only went off of what he physically saw during his brief talk (5 minutes) with my daughter once per week. The Meridian treatment team has quite a reputation of discharging children at their "tentative" 90-120 day discharge date despite unsafe, reactive, aggressive, and abusive behavior with medication still needing adjusting."
