After two months of transitioning my mother to long-term care at Marian Manor, I 'd like to share my honest review of this facility. From the moment my mother arrived, the staff has been nothing short of remarkable. Their patience, calmness, empathy, professionalism, and kindness have truly been angelic. I can't emphasize enough how crucial this level of care is to me, and it's the primary reason I chose Marian Manor for my mother's care. The facility itself exudes warmth. While it may not boast the latest modern amenities, it more than compensates with what truly matters: cleanliness and efficiency. Every corner of Marian Manor is impeccably clean, and the festive decorations for holidays create a cheerful atmosphere. My initial apprehension about placing my mother in a nursing home has been completely alleviated. Knowing that her medications are administered correctly, her bed linens are clean, and she enjoys daily company from the friendly staff has brought me peace of mind. Additionally, the presence of nurses who watch out for any incidents adds an extra layer of reassurance. I am incredibly grateful that Marian Manor had a room available for my mother when we needed it. This facility has not only met but exceeded my expectations.
My grandmother was a resident for almost 5 years. My family and I loved Marian Manor. The staff was kind and compassionate, my grandmother loved her caregivers, and we always were treated like family whenever we visits. Thank you for everything! We are forever grateful!
Poor patient care, complaints ignored, patients are isolated, meals are served late, food is not as ordered on menu choices, if patient is unable to eat or don't like the meal they give a peanut butter sandwich or a cup of ice cream for dinner no matter diabetic or not, things stolen from room or removed without permission, ring buzzer for assistance and nobody comes for a long time. Patient sitting in dirty pants for hours, getting showers maybe once a month if even getting a shower Staff doesn't bother checking in on patient unless to give medications, serve a meal place is run down and mice infested
Staff is very friendly. CNA's need Raises because they do the brunt of the work. I've seen it first hand, and our loved ones deserve the best. The Manor has cut so many positions and it has landed on the nurses and CNA's. I would recommend a language translating devices, since so many residents do not speak English. I've personally used my phone to talk to residents. I also recommend telling their loved ones to visit often. My mom and dad where at Manor on several occasions. I loved that the nuns are involved too. Maybe they could go back to the days when they had volunteers to help out. Patients need help with their meals and keeping there rooms organized. I'm sure most families help with those things, but there are those who's families rarely visit. Maybe there could be some visit from outside groups. School children, singing groups, animal visits, etc. I would calso recommend keeping the zoom calls like they did during covid ( on a much larger device.) I'm not sure if the gift shop is open, but it would be nice for residents and family members to purchase thing for there families. I could go on . God Bless
They do not provide quality care. They treat the residents poorly and refuse to provide the minimum level of care. The staff including the nurse Margaret do not treat the residents with respect and become aggressive when residents tells their families about the mistreatment. The facility is dirty and not maintained. They have a roach and mice infestation. Report them to state and get this place shut down!!!
